This time I’ll be reviewing Darlie Double Action Enamel Protect Toothpaste (watch out for another giveaway!). I don’t know a good way to start this review in words, but I’ll show you a music video about teeth :) This is entitled “Shiny Teeth and Me” from the cartoon Fairly OddParents (yeah, I’m old but I still watch cartoons. It’s awesome). Just watch and listen to it, it’s catchy :D
How was it? :D Anyway, EK Media/Sample Store sent me two Darlie Double Action Enamel Protect toothpaste (200g). I have been using Darlie toothpaste but I haven’t bought the Enamel Protect version.
Before I continue with the review, let me give you an explanation what an enamel is.
Enamel is the thin outer covering of the tooth. This tough shell is the hardest tissue in the human body. Enamel covers the crown which is the part of the tooth that’s visible outside of the gums. It helps protect your teeth from daily use such as chewing, biting, crunching, and grinding. Although enamel is a hard protector of teeth, it can chip and crack. (Source: Web MD) Once the enamel is damaged, it can never be repaired. That is why it is important to protect it. Time to use Darlie for a healthier teeth!
The toothpaste comes in a green tube with a white cap. Because the cap has a wide circumference, the toothpaste tube can stand upright. But if you have a holder, you don’t need this info (haha).
The packaging is also very similar to the Darlie Double Action Toothpaste (I was using this before). You might get confused which is which [when you’re out to buy groceries] if you don’t read and just depend on the color of the packaging.
The toothpaste itself is in white and green colors. But this is not new to me, other brands already did this.
What is the right amount of toothpaste when you brush your teeth? I am not sure either haha. But I use this much (see picture below). It is more than enough but I like it when there are a lot of suds.
See? This toothpaste is pretty sudsy. And minty. It’s so minty that when it touches my lips, it kinda burns. But it does make my teeth feel cleaner and my breath feels fresher.
I cannot be sure if it really protected my enamel better than any other toothpaste. I don’t want to be biased just because this is a sponsored review. But I like the feeling after brushing my teeth and using Darlie Double Action Enamel Protect toothpaste — THAT, I know, is better than the toothpastes I have used in the past.
Retail price of the 200g toothpaste is S$3.55. Not bad, huh? :)
